The much-teased reboot of the Awesome youth summit finally held last week on 7th July at the Shell Hall of the MUSON center. Attendees from in and outside Lagos had a field day with the discourse panel featuring BK Olateru-Olagbegi, and contributors such as Toyin Poju-Oyemade, Jimi and Lola Tewe, Lala Akindoju.
Tola Odeyemi, Detola Juyitan, Debola Deji- Kurunmi and so many other young leaders. A lineup of budding and established gospel stars as well as a powerful instructive message by the convener, renowned architect, Olajumoke Adenowo.
The partnership with Chocolate City Music Group was also announced by Chocolate City’s COO, Paul Okeugo.
The event took off with the participatory panel session that dwelt on issues like social media dependency, self-awareness, and the role of Nigerian youth in power and politics. Representing generation Z on the panel was the younger 18-year-old undergraduate, TJ Adenowo.
This was followed by the ministration of the word. The concert part of the event then followed, featuring notable acts like Kenyan Ambassador Emmy Kosegei, Mario Ese, Angel Salt, Bolu Sax and Man Of Zion.
It’s been less than a week since Awesome Reboot held but the feedback seems to indicate that this platform has begun a process that will greatly impact the younger generation towards raising transformational leaders.
