Kelvin Chappell Presents The 6th Annual BRING YOUR OWN PRAISE Concert | Oct 8, 2016

There isn’t any one particular way to give praise.  We all express praise in unique and different ways.  BRING YOUR OWN PRAISE (BYOP) is an event and a movement with a mission to provide a free flowing environment for believers to express their individual praise and experience diverse and uninhibited collective worship. Through a yearly event gathering, BYOP exposes local and national talent to the Virginia and North Carolina regions through singing, musical instrumentation, spoken word, and Praise Dancing.  The 2016 BYOP event will be held October 8 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Danville, VA this year and will include a dynamic line-up of artists and performers.

The 2016 BYOP Event will welcome performance by the legendary Lemmie Battles (“You’re Looking At A Miracle”; Chicago Mass Choir – “Thank you, Thank you Jesus”; Mississippi Mass – “Mighty Good God”), the dynamic group Resound, Jeremy Wilder (Singer/Radio Show Host), Amy Ferrell from Greensboro, NC, Praise and Worship leader Stephanie Motley and spoken word artist Elder Tarence Walker.  Returning to BYOP for the second year is noted singer Kaneisha “NeeCee” Trott and the acappella group The Joybells.  The event will begin at 6PM and is FREE to the public.

The BYOP Concert event began in 2010 and has developed into an energetic and engaging community-focused platform that has gained national acclaim as a highly anticipated musical experience for consumers of varying ages and walks of faith. BYOP was birthed by award-winning graphic designer
Kelvin Chappell as a conduit of positive exposure for talent and to inspire unity amongst believers.  Kelvin and BYOP have served thousands by featuring scores of rising artists at past events including BET Sunday Best finalist Maurice Griffin, southern songstress Monica Lisa Stevenson, Shawn Bigby, LeJuene Thompson, and Stellar Award nominated Vincent Tharpe and Kenosis.
