REVEALED BY PRESSURE : Streams of Joy Devotional

“…as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,”
(Luke 5: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, people pushed and pressed because they wanted to hear God’s word through Jesus. The word ‘press’ is the root word for pressure. So Jesus was going through pressure because He was carrying God’s word; Jesus had divine deposits in Him which the pressure sought to unveil.

Friend, every pressure you face is a call to unleash the divine deposits in you. Every challenge/puzzle that comes your way is a call to manifest your creativity and the gifts and abilities God planted in you. Every tough and trying moment is your platform to excel against all odds. There is something in you that can answer to every pressure that comes.

When you face pressures in your health, don’t despair; call forth divine health- it’s in you. When lack beckons, call forth the abundance you have in Christ. When there are no helpers, call forth your destiny helpers and they will show up. When you lack opportunities, use your abilities to create opportunities. Use what you have in you to answer to every pressure that comes your way.

Jesus faced pressures because He had something to offer. If you had nothing to offer, just maybe you won’t be under pressure, and maybe there won’t be any hater troubling you. If you had no divine deposit in you, the devil may never even bother to torment you. Pressure may seem negative, but it speaks of something in you that is positive.

Look beyond the negativity in the pressure you face and see the positive deposits in you that is responsible for the pressure. Like Jesus, no pressure you face will kill you. It may test your faith, but you will come forth as gold.

Pray With Me: Lord, may every pressure I face reveal the divine deposits in me, in Jesus’ name!
