Nigerian gospel sensation Sammie Okposo continues what has been a great year for him and his ministry with an award at the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA) in London, United Kingdom.
Sammie left Nigeria on Friday in high spirit and has definitely been rewarded for some good work for the gospel of Christ through music this year. On being named Best Male Artist of the year he had this to say
this is for Africa, this is for Jesus, African music domination, they haven’t seen nothing yet. thank you Jesus, Thank you AGMMA, God be praise. The Best is yet to come.
Celebrating with him was UK-based fuji gospel music singer Andrew Bello. Sammie Opkoso was nominated alongside Mike Abdul (Nigeria), Nathaniel Bassey (Nigeria), Tim Godfrey (Nigeria), Sonnie Badu (Ghana), Pompi (Zambia), Dr. Tumi (South Africa), Joe Mettle (Ghana), Solly Mahlangu and Uche Agu (USA).
Obviously God’s work through music in Africa is definitely on the rise. We continue to see lots of great music being churned out and platforms being created to further extend the frontiers of gospel music. Congratulations Sammie.
