Sammie Okposo Endorses FOGMMON, ready to spearhead it in Lagos.

The Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria, FOGMMON has been gathering momentum since last year, the organisation which started in Abuja and is currently headed by gospel music minister Asu Ekiye, is an organization bringing together gospel music artistes under one umbrella. Various efforts have been made in the past to bring gospel music ministers together under one fold, most of which failed. Formations like United in Spirit, Gospel unlimited and many more were efforts made to bring gospel music ministers together. Some say that the reason why it has not been possible to have a body uniting the contemporary gospel music ministers because of the ”principalities” in the gospel music scene.  The older folks in the gospel music industry have organizations like GOMAN, which is mostly made up of older gospel musicians and indigenous gospel musicians. But the contemporary gospel musicians made up of the younger generation have neither belonged to GOMAN nor formed their own organization.

Most gospel music and Christian entertainment observers and watchers feel that the reason why this has not been possible is because of the alleged age long rivalry between Asu Ekiye and Sammie Okposo.

Today Asu Ekiye himself announced that SAMMIE OKPOSO has indicated interest to JOIN FOGMMON and is interested in spearheading the branch in Lagos.

According to Asu ”SAMMY OKPOSO JOINS FOGMMON AND HAS ASKED TO SPEARHEAD FOGMMON BRANCH IN LAGOS. Watch this video!!!”

Does this mean that the supposed rivalry is over, or there was no rivalry after all…..?
