YOU’RE A STAR
“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem…there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”
(Matthew 2: 1)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When Jesus was born, wise men came from the east to pay him homage. Not every man came to pay homage to Jesus; it was just a few wise men. The men who recognized Jesus’ star came from a distance; Jesus’ greatness wasn’t in doubt, but only a few people recognized it.
Friend, always remember, not everyone will recognize the star in you. Not everyone will see the value in you and acknowledge it; not everyone will see your relevance and recognize it; some people will deliberately refuse to notice that you are doing great. As you shine as a star, some people would rather close their eyes than watch you shine. There are people who will never call you a star.
The wise men saw Jesus’ star and came to pay homage. Your star is meant for those who are wise enough to see it. If they can’t see your star, just maybe they are not wise enough to watch you shine; if they can’t recognize your star, just maybe they are not yet on a level where they can appreciate your greatness.
The fact that some men didn’t recognize Jesus’ star did not stop Him from being a star. There is a king inside of you; there is a star in you; your star doesn’t depend on your haters; it doesn’t depend on popular opinion. Your stardom is guaranteed because of who you are and whose you are.
Celebrate yourself even if you are surrounded by people who hate to celebrate you or watch you shine. If Jehovah is involved, your stardom cannot be diminished by the opinions of men.
Philippians 2 vs. 15 says: “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;”
Pray With Me: Lord, my star will not be diminished by those who don’t recognise it, in Jesus’ name!
